Business Description: BluLever Education is a Johannesburg-based vocational training startup founded in 2018 by Adam Collier and Jess Roussos. The company aims to address South Africa's skilled labour shortage by providing holistic, industry-aligned training programs for artisans, particularly in solar, plumbing, electrical and automotive mechanics. BluLever's approach combines technical training with the development of soft skills, entrepreneurial education, and preparation for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). Their programs include a two-month Leadership Camp focusing on life skills and work readiness, followed by a three-year apprenticeship. Graduates receive certification from South Africa’s Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) and are equipped to earn a living wage post-graduation. Since its inception, BluLever has enrolled over 400 apprentices across its training programs and has partnered with more than 50 employers to facilitate work placements. The company also supports artisan business owners through its Artisan Academy, offering business skills training and incubation support. Looking ahead, BluLever plans to optimise its current campus and broaden its reach across South Africa and other African nations, continuing its commitment to transforming artisan education and empowering the next generation of skilled professionals.
