ENEL Group Participates In The 80th Un General Assembly In New York

Rome-New York, September 25th, 2025 – The Enel Group participated in the 80th United Nations General Assembly and the UN High-Level Week currently under way in New York, which brought together global leaders. The Group’s top management participated in high-profile discussions, underscoring its commitment to accelerating sustainable investment and inclusive growth through publicprivate collaboration. Enel emphasized the vital role of business in shaping a resilient global economy and advancing the energy transition through strategic partnerships.

“Our participation in the 80th UN General Assembly and the UN High-Level Week reflects Enel’s ongoing commitment towards an emission-free future. As shown by our strategy, based on financial and environmental sustainability, the energy transition can create long-term value for all stakeholders. Leveraging on our renowned experience, we believe that public-private collaboration is essential to unlock the required investments for further development of grid infrastructure and renewables. To make this possible, especially in emerging countries, there must be transparent policies, regulatory frameworks that address climate risk, and streamlined permitting. This is how to ensure a just and future-proof energy transition,” said Flavio Cattaneo, CEO of the Enel Group.

On September 22nd the Enel Group participated in the UN Private Sector Forum, hosted by the United Nations Global Compact on behalf of the UN Secretary-General. The event brought together a select group of 50 global top executives, Government leaders and UN Principals for a roundtable focused on accelerating private sector finance and investments for sustainable economic growth. One of the main events Enel’s delegation participated in was the “Dilemmas Forum”, the UN Global Compact Legal Council flagship event co-chaired by Enel, which brought together 60 C-Suite executives for a discussion on strategic and legal topics related to sustainability and responsible leadership, with the aim to strengthen business resilience and create long-term value.

Furthermore, Enel sponsored the publication of “Legal Insights for Business Leaders”, a report that sheds light on the rapid evolution of global sustainability regulations, which also features a case study from the Group.
