Vision for Wind power in South Africa: 

Wind power is the bedrock for South Africa’s transition to decarbonized electricity, offering a combination of generation profiles across the country that can cover a large portion of the load requirements. Over the next decades, we will need to significantly ramp up the build rate of wind power to meet South Africa’s needs. 
 

What makes SAWEA relevant?  

Building dozens of GW of wind power in SA will come with numerous challenges and opportunities, for which SAWEA should be the key interface between the industry and the country’s main stakeholders (government, communities, Eskom etc.)
