Tsitsikamma Community Wind Farm support Frontline Healthcare workers

Tsitsikamma Community Wind Farm (TCWF), in partnership with Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm contributed towards the procurement of the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for distribution amongst the Tsitsikamma, Langkloof and Kouga Health Clusters, to help reduce COVID-19 infections in amongst healthcare personnel.

The lack of PPE for frontline healthcare staff, which includes medical doctors and nurses, is a major risk.

Given the already stretched capacity within the Kouga and Koukamma health facilities, it was viewed crucial to extend a support to these municipalities, to help prevent further infections among health personnel.

The PPE items included 1328 x disposable gowns, 66 x goggles, 12 boxes of disposable gloves, 33 x disposable aprons, 66 x IR thermometers, 7 x 5lt sanitizers, 340 x KN95 masks and face shields.
