Umoya Energy has developed the Hopefield Wind Farm which was selected as preferred bidder in Round 1 of REIPPP in December 2011. The project will consist of 37 turbines with a total capacity of 66.6MW and is located close to the town of Hopefield in the Western Cape. Renewable and Sustainable Energy Studies (CRSES) acts as a central point ofentry into Stellenbosch University for the general field of renewable energy.
