Globeleq is an experienced operating power company, actively developing energy solutions for the emerging markets of Africa and the Americas. Globeleq develops economically sustainable businesses that support the continued development of the electric power sector in these regions and actively participate in the communities in which it operates. As part of South Africa’s Renewable Power program, Globeleq is the majority shareholder of Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm in the Eastern Cape as well as De Aar Solar Power and Droogfontein Solar Power located on the Northern Cape. Globeleq is jointly managing the construction of these projects and will also play a key role as the management company of these three IPP’s during operations.
