Economic Development
The Economic Development WG aims to assist Project company employees who work with Communities affected during Bid, Construction and/or Operational Phases through the following four objectives: (1) Develop and disseminate best practice guidelines to promote ethical practice in community development and engagement; (2) Facilitate access to and full utilization of ED data in order to consolidate, centralize, improve and communicate the positive developmental impacts of the SED and EnD programs; (3) Secure collaboration on regional and themed SED and EnD expenditure between IPP’s to maximise the social returns of the renewable energy program at local and district level; and, (4) Support positive relationship building with beneficiary communities, government and other key stakeholders to improve communication, build trust and align priorities.
