NOUPOORT CLINICS CONTINUE TO RECEIVE SUPPORT

Noupoort Wind Farm has extended its support to local health facilities, at Eurekaville Clinic and Nanqo Simon Zono Clinic, as an extension of its COVID-19 intervention programme.  The wind farm recently funded the installation of water tanks and solar water geysers at the two clinics, as well as providing funding for electricity at the COVID testing container at the Eurekaville Clinic.READ MORE

SUSTAINABLE FARMING ACHIEVABLE FOR LOCAL CO-OP

Additional funding for an emerging cattle farmers’ co-op, in the Theewaterskloof Municipality, which has hopes of breeding cattle for the market, has been provided.  Funding and ongoing business support from Klipheuwel Wind Farm aims to support the sustainability of this small agricultural concern. The programme is working towards helping the group improve the standard of the herd, the initiative is being guided the Department of Agriculture.  READ MORE

BIOTHERM ENERGY COMPLETES ITS FOURTH SA PROJECT IN TEN MONTHS

BioTherm Energy has announced the completion of all four of its renewable energy projects in South Africa, with the latest project having come on stream in the Eastern Cape.  The company’s R6.5bn investment, connects 284MW into South Africa’s national grid and is partnered by Thebe Investment Corporation (TIC), which has a 37.5% stake in all four projects.READ MORE

DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN NAMA KHOI HIGH SCHOOLS IS FURTHER BOOSTED BY WIFI FUNDING

In support of digital technology in local Nama Khoi area high schools, Kangnas Wind Farm has announced funding for the Wi-Fi installation and connectivity.  This is in line with the recent programme that provided electronic Smart Boards at these same schools and aims to help correct inequalities in education experienced by learners in rural areas.

EDUCATION INTERVENTION AIMS TO ELEVATE PRIMARY SCHOOLING ON THE WEST COAST

An integrated education programme is being implemented at two primary schools on the West Coast, with the aim of accommodating all learners and building towards an inclusive learning environment.  This programme helps in preparation for Departmental Assessments in foundation phase teaching and kicked off at Holvlei and Hopefield Primary last year.
