This role is responsible for the day to day operational monitoring, analysis and reporting on the operational status of the assets including faults, warnings and alarms including logging of all events related to the
planned and unplanned maintenance related to BTE’s operational plant reporting to the Head Office Operational Supervisor in order to minimize the fault detection time and the impact of downtime Gathers daily
production figures, alarms and plant break down and planned maintenance information from the remote monitoring system, Computerized Maintenance Management System ( and plant SCADA systems
Supports the monthly asset performance reporting task by extracting and presenting data from the remote monitoring and SCADA software
Have a Matric certificate.
Have a National Diploma (T3, N6) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or NQF equivalent.
Have a Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering would be an added advantage.
Have 1 to 3 years’ experience in utility scale generation plant, remote monitoring or SCADA system data analysis in utility scale generation plant.
Have had exposure to and keen interest in renewable energy.
Have a basic understanding of wind and solar PV project operation and maintenance.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
Possess a valid driver’s license
